Each year, neighborhoods across the country dedicate one summer evening to celebrate and strengthen their commitment to a safe community. This is an opportunity for Eden Prairie residents to gather with neighbors and friends, get to know one another better, enjoy a few hot-off-the-grill favorites and build a sense of community. Neighborhoods can also choose to participate in a food drive contest for Eden Prairie PROP.

Join us as Paul Maravelas explains the impact of natural and human forces on the lake including Native Americans, the deforestation of the late nineteenth century, tourism and wildlife, suburbanization, various dams, channels, bridges, public parks, dredging, and more! We’ll discuss the whole lake, from Crane Island to the former Spirit Knob, one of Minnetonka’s best documented Dakota sacred sites.
